Mark Stimson plays waiting game over Gillingham transfer targets

Mark Stimson is staying patient as offers for Chris Dickson and Danny Jackman remain on the table.

The Gills boss has made what he feels are reasonable bids for the pair as he looks to bolster his squad.

Striker Dickson (pictured) has been left on the sidelines for Charlton so far this season and Jackman, who is at League 2 Northampton, has not featured either as he is reportedly carrying an injury.

"We want to make them happen but we’ve just got to sit and wait for clubs," said Stimson.

"We rate these players at a certain price and hopefully there are no other people interested in them.

"We hope the player and the club can sort something out and let’s get something done.

"The chairman is waiting on a phone call from the Northampton chairman to say it’s going to happen or it’s not going to happen.

"As for the Charlton one, I don’t know. There have been some things on the Charlton website about a swap. I don’t know if there are games being played at the moment but we’ve just got to concentrate on what we’re doing."
