Gillingham head to Faversham’s Salters Lane on Thursday night for their third pre-season test in six days.
After wins at Folkestone and Dartford the Gills squad now take on Kent League side Faversham who they beat last season 8-0.
Manager Mark Stimson (pictured) is keen to give every member of his squad a chance and after Saturday’s trip to Welling he’ll name his best eleven for next Tuesday’s match at Bishop’s Stortford.
Stimson said: "Next week at Bishop’s Stortford we’ll look to see who has played the best in pre-season. The following evening we go to Aveley and the boys who haven’t played will play there and then we go to France.
"There will be some boys disappointed at Bishop’s Stortford but they have to act in a professional way and say, ‘okay, I’m not in his plans today but I’ve got a game tomorrow and if anyone doesn’t perform up to standard, I’ll take their place’.
"I’m sure the team the that starts against Bishop’s Stortford won’t be the team that start the season, maybe because of an injury or a loss of form, or we get a new signing."
Stimson has so far fielded two different teams in each half in both pre-season outings, apart from trialist defender Aaron Brown, who has played 90 minutes in the two games.
A total of 23 players have so far appeared and more could feature in the game at Faversham.
