Gills manager Martin Allen admits he won’t be making the same mistake twice when his side head to Torquay on Tuesday.

Allen’s side were held to a draw at Oxford at the start of the month, just days after beating Northampton away. Allen had made limited changes and confessed he got that wrong.

He said: "Rest assured there will be changes on Tuesday night, that’s for sure. "I thought I made a real error at Oxford, away, I didn’t play a fresher team and didn’t play others on the sidelines.

"I kicked myself that whole weekend. I had some good players on the bench who were absolutely gagging to play and ready to play. I should have changed it and so this week I will go back to doing what we do best and our squad is going to play.

"I am definitely certain there are going to be some different players playing on Tuesday night for sure and the players know that, I’ve told them."

Looking ahead to the game, Allen (pictured) said: "We will put together a team for training on Monday to see who is fit and available and then get on that bus early Tuesday morning, have a nice drive there, kip in the afternoon and then do some damage again and play well."

Charlie Lee (knee) is back in training while keeper Ross Flitney is also stepping it up, but still some way off.

Charlie Allen has broken his hand, while youth player Michael Freiter will travel with the squad.
