Dover Athletic manager Martin Hayes says they need a minimum of nine points from the last four games to secure a play-off berth.

Whites have won eight of 12 after Saturday’s 4-1 win at Weston in Blue Square Bet South.

And Hayes (pictured) said: "At this stage of the season it’s all about the three points. We went there and did what we were supposed to do – win.

"It was good for Jon Main to get off the mark because he’s missed one or two. Jon and Adam Birchall are two goal machines. It’s nice for Birchy to have some of the pressure taken off his shoulders.

"In our next few games we have teams who are in the middle of the table. Hopefully we can cash in because we are still fighting for something.

"On the other hand it means the pressure is all on us and they are free to play their game. It’s an exciting time.

"The players know how important every game is. I think we need to win three of the last four games at least to get in.

"At this stage I can handle playing badly, so long as we win."

Luke I’Anson is back from suspension for Saturday’s trip to Dorchester while Jon Wallis, Rob Gilman and Connor Essam will be assessed.
