Martin Welsh took his professional fight record to eight wins from eight following a points victory on Saturday night.

The Swanley welterweight won every round against experienced Billy Smith at The Troxy in London.

Smith, entering the ring for the 99th time, was no match for 29-year-old Welsh who was making his first appearance of the current boxing season.

He was last in action in June when he beat Lester Walsh on points in a six-round contest. Welsh is currently ranked 32nd in the British rankings after his latest outing.
