Matt Fry completed his second month at Gillingham on Saturday and boss Mark Stimson has already secured his services for another four weeks.
Fry is currently on a youth loan and as such his parent club West Ham could call him back at any time but Stimson is confident that they can keep the promising defender until the end of the season.
Stimson said: “There is a possibility that at the end of the month we can take him for the rest of the season.”
Fry is in the final year of his professional contract with the Hammers and is hoping to extend it.
He has so far performed well for the Gills, with 11 appearances so far.
