The first citizen of the Medway Towns visited the offices of the Kent Messenger Group on Tuesday.

Cllr Val Goulden, the Mayor of Medway, was treated to a tour of our riverside multi-media base on the Medway City Estate at Strood, near Rochester.

Her visit took in our recently refurbished suite of studios, used to broadcast news bulletins across the kmfm radio network, as well as our advertising and marketing departments.

She also met with our group editorial teams working on sport, our website Kent Online and bi-weekly Medway Messenger print editions.

She was accompanied on the visit by Kent Messenger Group chairman Geraldine Allinson, KMG editorial director Simon Irwin, head of marketing Penny Williams and West Kent senior editor Bob Bounds.
