(PIC) August sees the launch of the Mazda6 2.3-litre Sport saloon at an on-the-road price of £20,000. It will be available in Titanium, Silver or Pacific Blue.

The saloon includes leather upholstery, sports body styling kit, fog lamps (in body kit) and stylish exhaust tail pipes. The five-door Sport also has the option of satellite navigation.

The development team set three key goals in order to create the Mazda6 as a worldwide benchmark in the mid-size vehicle segment: to retain the strengths of Mazda’s heritage as an innovator in developing cutting-edge performance and technology; to meet or beat the driving dynamics, performance and refinement of the best European mid-size vehicles; and to exceed the quietness and refinement of the best Japanese mid-size vehicles.

Mazda says the Sport saloon delivers in five key areas: stability, steering responsiveness, predictable handling, braking power and ride comfort.
