Medway biker in critical condition after crash

A Medway motorcyclist is in a critical condition after being involved in a head-on crash with a car.

The accident happened just after 1pm on Thursday, February 26 on the A20 near Leeds Castle.

The biker who is 64 and lives in the Medway Towns was airlifted by Kent Air Ambulance to The Royal London hospital, a specialist trauma centre.

The rider sustained severe facial, pelvic and limb injuries. His condition is described as critical.

The impact of the crash destroyed the motorbike and the front wing of the car. Air ambulance crews reported the rider had been thrown 20 yards from the car.
