The Medway Tunnel will soon be under new ownership.

It will belong to the people of Medway.

But is this crucial transport link, criticised by experts as being run down, really such a bargain? Or is it a bad case of tunnel vision?

The underpass linking Frindsbury with Chatham Maritime is to be sold to Medway Council for £1.

In return the council will get the tunnel and an estimated £15 million to cover future costs.
