A MEMORIAL service for Brian Paine, a former Kent Messenger Group senior editor, will be held on Saturday (April 22) at 11.30am in the parish church at Woodchurch, near Ashford.

His son, Chris, has said that friends and colleagues will be most welcome.

After the service, there will be a get-together in the nearby Six Bells public house.

Mr Paine retired from the KMG three years ago and died suddenly in Spain last month at the age of 65. He leaves a widow Pam, two sons Adrian and Chris, and four grandchildren.
