Two men have been arrested in Kent in connection with the shooting of an innocent woman.

The pair, aged 19 and 20, were arrested by detectives in Ramsgate yesterday.

The female shopper was caught in the crossfire of a dispute between two men in Peckham, south London.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to Bournemouth Road at about 5.15pm last Sunday.

The 30-year-old woman had suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a south London hospital where her condition remains stable.

Scotland Yard said the men arrested in Ramsgate have been released on bail until late March pending further inquiries.
