Two men arrested by police investigating a car crash have been released on bail.
Three people had to be taken to hospital on Friday after a car being pursued by police collided with two other cars.
The crash happened just after 8.45pm in Yarnton Way, Thamesmead just minutes after a marked police car had approached a black VW Golf. That car made off at speed and collided with a silver Golf and a black Toyota Celica after it crossed onto the wrong side of the road.
The police car, operating its blue lights and siren, is understood to have been out of sight at the time of the crash.
One man, believed to be the driver of the suspect car, made off on foot. He has yet to be traced.
Two male passengers, believed to be in their early 20s, were arrested and taken to hospital. One suffered a serious foot injury, the other a pelvic injury.
They have now been discharged from hospital and bailed to return to police at a later date.
The 39-year-old driver of the silver Golf suffered a knee injury and was taken to the Royal London Hospital. Other people in the silver Golf and the Toyota suffered cuts and bruises and were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.
A police spokesman said: "The Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) was informed as a matter of course and DPS officers also attended the scene."
