THREE men have appeared before magistrates after police raided one of the biggest pirate DVD factories ever found in this country.
John Lau, 45, of Upper Clapton Road, London, and 35-year-old Chee Chong Liew, of Romford Street, Startford, London, are accused of conspiracy to defraud Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox and Columbia.
A third man, 30-year-old Zhen Rong Lin, of Hathorne Close, Peckham, in south-east London, is charged with two offences of selling goods that infringe copyright.
All three men were remanded in custody.
The men were arrested during the raid, which was a joint venture between Kent Police and the Federation Against Copyright Theft, at the premises in Burnt Oak, Edgeware.
More than 100,000 copied DVDs, along with computers and DVD burners, printers and packaging, were seized by police.
The raid was a result of intelligence gathered in the Medway area of Kent.
