A Met police officer from Kent has been charged with 15 sex offences dating back 14 years.

PC Sean Smith from Dartford was arrested over claims he abused three young girls in Greater Manchester between 1996 and 2001.

The 29-year-old was placed on restrictive duties at Eltham police station following his arrest.

He is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court next week.
