Midfielders Charlie Lee and Danny Spiller may remain sidelined against Burton on Tuesday, despite completing their suspensions.
Both have seen out three-game bans, but the pair are facing a race against time to prove their fitness ahead of the League 2 trip.
Spiller served a ban for his sending-off against Crewe but has needed an injection on a troublesome ankle injury. Lee has also missed the last three games, after picking up 15 bookings this season, but has recently been using an air-boot on his ankle to alleviate his own problems.
Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler has had major injury concerns to cope with all season, but isn’t expecting the pair to be out for long.
He said: "Charlie hasn’t done a lot of training and whether he is fit enough to be involved on Tuesday, we will have to wait.
"Danny Spiller had an injection on his ankle, which is a regular thing he has to have, and whether that keeps him out we are not sure. They will both definitely be available for (Saturday’s game with) Macclesfield."
Leading scorer Danny Kedwell is another player Hessenthaler will be keeping a close eye on. A back injury, picked up in the midweek defeat to Crawley, kept him out at the weekend and looks set to rule him out again tomorrow.
"It’s the same old thing for us with players going down injured," added Hessenthaler.
Gavin Tomlin, with six goals in nine appearances, is also out. He is attempting to shake off a hamstring injury.
