Tonbridge Angels secured their fifth win in a row after a narrow 2-1 win over Hendon at Longmead which took them up to fourth in Ryman League Premier Division on Tuesday night.

Lee Minshull put the Angels ahead at the break but the Londoners levelled shortly after the restart and it needed a Paul Booth goal half an hour from time to seal the points.

Lyndon Rowland scored twice to give Maidstone United a 2-1 Ryman League Premier Division win over Sutton United at Homelands on Tuesday night.

Rowland opened the scoring after 33 minutes but the visitors drew level in first-half stoppage time and the game looked to be heading for a draw until Rowland grabbed his second in the 90th minute to send the Stones up to seventh.

Margate boss Mark Butler enjoyed his first win in charge after Lloyd Blackman’s late penalty gave them a 4-3 win at fellow strugglers Waltham Abbey in Ryman League Premier Division.

The home side took a surprise lead but Joe Healy levelled and Sammy Cliff put them ahead, only for Abbey to equalise with 14 minutes remaining.

Healy restored the lead with nine minutes to go and despite Abbey levelling yet again, Blackman netted a spot-kick in the dying seconds to send Margate up to 15th.

Frankie Chappell headed a stoppage-time winner to send Folkestone Invicta back to joint-top of Ryman League Division 1 South with a 1-0 win over Met Police at the Buzzlines Stadium on Tuesday night.

Ray Powell netted a consolation for Chatham Town but they went down 3-1 at Whyteleafe to lose ground on the leaders in Ryman League Division 1 South.

Sittingbourne top-scorer Hicham Akhazzan saw a penalty saved in the 94th minute as the Brickies lost 2-1 at home to Dulwich Hamlet in Ryman League Division 1 South.
