Dartford continued their impressive end to the Ryman League, Premier Division season with a third successive four-goal showing on Tuesday night, writes Ian Roberston.
Lee Noble, Jay May, Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle were on target for the Darts as they beat Ashford Town (Middx) 4-2.
That win followed up 4-0 thrashings of both Canvey Island and Ramsgate.
Tuesday’s game was Tony Burman (pictured right) side's last appearance at Princes Park this season and they were ahead after just five minutes when Noble netted from close range.
The lead was doubled nine minutes later as May latched onto Jamie Day’s clever free-kick.
The Tangerines hit back with a 16th-minute penalty and another goal before the break to send the teams in level at 2-2.
Dartford didn’t reclaim their lead until the 83rd minute when Flanagan scored from the spot and minutes later Coyle bagged the fourth.
Maidstone’s poor form continued meanwhile as they suffered a fourth consecutive defeat.
The Stones lost 2-0 at home to Harrow Borough in their penultimate game of the season and slipped out of the top 10 as their victors leap-frogged them in the table.
