Milkman injured in three-vehicle smash

A 39-year-old milkman was treated in hospital for head and neck injuries after his float was involved in a crash.

The collision happened at around 9am on Wednesday in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, near Margate.

Police say the incident also involved a parked car and a scaffolding lorry that was driven by a 27-year-old man from Margate. The milkman also comes from the Margate area.

The road was closed for some time. The cause of the collision is under investigation by police.
