A baby reported missing has been found safe and well.

Detectives appealed for help in finding the 11-month-old boy after he was taken for a walk by a teenage girl.

Police said he was last seen in Chatham at about noon on Friday, September 26.

But shortly after the appeal was issued yesterday, the child was traced.

A 16-year-old girl from the Gillingham area has been arrested in connection with the disappearance.
