A GERMAN television programme similar to Crimewatch will tonight feature the case of missing student nurse Louise Kerton from Broadstairs.
Louise, 24, vanished in July 2001 after being dropped at a railway station in the German town of Aachen by the mother of her fiance Peter Simon. Members of her family and friends fear she has been murdered.
Louise's father Phil, who lives at New Ash Green, near Gravesend, says he hopes a breakthrough may come after a reconstruction of his daughter's last known movements to be broadcast nationwide German TV.
Mr Kerton said today: "The authorities in Germany have worked hard for months now and it may be that just one small piece of information from the TV programme may lead to a major breakthrough."
He added: "It may be that people who know something but were not aware of the situation will come forward or people who were out of the country at the time may hear the appeal and phone in."
