AN ELDERLY man who went missing from his home earlier today has been found safe and well.

Kent Police had issued an urgent appeal to the public for information following the disappearance of 75-year-old Alan Hyder.

He had been reported missing after he left his home in Wainscott, near Rochester, saying he was going for a walk.

Police said had they were extremely concerned for Mr Hyder’s welfare as he rarely leaves his home.
