THE sister of a man found safe after being reported missing has expressed her delight.

Trevor Rice, 58, from St Paul’s Crescent in Boughton-under-Blean, near Faversham, vanished on Sunday, October 8, at about 7.30pm. He was found on Thursday at around 5.45pm on Thursday in Ellenden Wood, near Boughton.

He was taken to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital suffering with dehydration.

Mr Rice’s sister, Linda Rattray, said: “I cannot thank the police enough for their help in locating my brother.

"On behalf of our family I would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped in the search for Trevor. We are obviously just very pleased to have him back."

Insp Anna Travers, who was involved in the search, said: "Thanks to the media for helping us with the appeal and particularly the member of the public who called us after seeing Mr Rice.

"The local community has been very helpful in assisting us and we are very pleased to have found him safe. We now wish him well in his recovery."
