KENT Police say a 79-year-old man who went missing from his home yesterday has been found safe and sound.

John Douglas Noble, from Rochester, vanished after last being seen in Chatham town centre on Monday at about 9.30am

Police spokeswoman Tessa Hallett said this morning: "He had been on his way to an appointment but did not turn up. We are pleased to say he has now been found safe and sound."
