A student who grew up in Medway has been found dead in London.
Anthony Soh, went missing from his university digs in the capital more than two weeks ago.
Anthony, 18, who was also known as Yen Soh, had not been seen since the evening of March 22 after left he left a bar to return to his digs.
The former Rainham Mark Grammar School pupil was studying mechanical engineering at Imperial College London.
His family, who live Lovelace Close, Parkwood, friends and tutors had been doing all they could to try and locate him.
They had set up a Facebook page in the hope someone would give them information which would lead to them finding him.
He was last seen in a bar at the university's south Kensington campus, in Prince Consort Road, at 11pm and the Metropolitan Police were treating his disappearance as a missing persons investigation.
It was believed he left there to return to his accommodation in Wilson House, close to Paddington Station.
However, police were called on Wednesday to the Serpentine Lake, in Hyde Park, after a body was found.
A spokesman for the Met, said: "We were called to the lake in Hyde Park at about 11.50am after a body was spotted.
"Marine police entered the lake and recovered the body, the death is being treated as unexplained."
Chris Smith, 19, who was at Rainham Mark Grammar with Anthony, said: "We were all hoping for his safe return and so this has come as a huge shock to everyone.

"At the same time though there is a sense that at least the unknown had ended and Anthony can now rest in peace.'
"The last time I spoke to him he seemed very excited about coming home and seeing his friends.
"He generally a happy person but I was aware that Anthony had had some troubled times and there were some periods when he had felt down."
