A KENT schoolgirl has turned up safe and sound after going missing for over a week.

Farrell Stickells, 14, from Chatham, was last spotted on April 24 near Chatham town centre. It was feared that she had gone to South London to meet someone she had met in an internet chatroom.

Fears for her safety grew when the youngster's mobile phone was discovered in a park near Green Park railway station.

Det Con David Burnett carried out inquiries in the area to try and trace her whereabouts but the youngster, who has gone missing before, is now back home.

A police spokesman said: "We are delighted that Farrell has turned up safe and sound."
