A MISSING woman has been found following an appeal for information about her whereabouts.

Margaret Everest, 41, of Leach Cross Avenue, Swanley, near Dartford, contacted police on Monday afternoon to confirm that she was safe and well.

She had vanished after being seen by a neighbour at around 12.45pm last Thursday in St Mary's Road, Swanley.

A North Kent police spokeswoman said: "We would like to thank the media and members of the public for their assistance."

Police had been particularly concerned about her welfare as her disappearance had been out of character.
