Mitsubishi enjoys massive sales increase

WITH the latest October sales figures for the UK car market showing an increase of 20.7 per cent over October 2000, Mitsubishi Motors have exceeded this with a massive 61 per cent increase - three times ahead of the market. Mitsubishi finished October with a 1.07 per cent share of the retail sector.

To date, new passenger car sales for Mitsubishi Motors are 13 per cent up, ahead of the 10 per cent average of the industry.

Commercial vehicle sales in October for Mitsubishi which include the award-winning L200 Double Cab, totalled 334, compared to 177 in October 2000, an increase of 89 per cent.

Year to date, commercial vehicles are 3,383 compared to 1,864 in 2000, an increase of 81 per cent. With passenger and commercial figures combined, Mitsubishi sold 1,747 new vehicles in October 2001, compared to 1,053 in October 2000 - an increase of 66 per cent.
