AS football fans gear up for the big game, England captain David Beckham's hairstyle is big business with fans desperate to look like their hero.

Young and old are the envy of their mates after flocking to PJ's Hair and Beauty in Chatham High Street for a "modern mohican" complete with Beckham's trademark blonde streak.

Medway is swarming with double-takes as the sign in the salon window lures people in, including teenager Daniel Almond, with the offer of a Beckham cut for £12 or a cut and colour for £28.

Manager Pierino Mazzone said: "Being a huge England fan, I couldn't resist promoting the modern mohican.

"Everyone wants to look like their favourite player so they come in and ask for a Beckham."
