Mother and sons in head-on crash

A mother and her two sons are recovering in hospital after a head-on crash yesterday afternoon.

They were in a car which collided with another vehicle in Stone Street, Stelling Minnis, leaving the woman driver with a broken leg and hip and the boys aged, four and six, with serious injuries.

The six-year-old who was considered critical but is now making good recovery in hospital with his brother.

The Kent Air Ambulance took some of the victims to the William Harvey Hospital.

The road was closed while paramedics and firefighters cut the woman free from the wreckage.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
