A MOTHER has endured days of torment since her teenage daughter went missing from home.
Stacie Haynes, 15, of Prince Charles Road, St Peter’s, near Broadstairs, was last seen on Wednesday, February 15, and was reported missing at 11pm that night.
Her mother Caroline Haynes said she had one message for her daughter: “Just come home. You’re not in trouble.”
Stacie is described as bubbly and independent and had never done anything like this before. She helps her hairdresser mother at weekends in the Changes salon in Broadstairs.
Mrs Haynes added: “She told her grandmother she was going to Canterbury with a friend. But she went to Sittingbourne.
“She was seen in Ramsgate on Thursday buying a pair of shoes but hasn’t been seen since and she has no money. We have had a text message saying she needs a few months to get her head together.”
Mrs Haynes has not been sleeping or eating properly since her daughter vanished and has been driving the streets in a forlorn hope of finding her
Home-made missing posters have gone up across Thanet and Stacie’s friends have helped distribute them and comfort the family.
Mrs Haynes has had one text and a voicemail from Stacie since she went missing, although police warn that the text may not be from her.
Mrs Haynes added: “The police are checking the address where she could be but if she is in Thanet they say our posters would mean our phones would be red hot.”
If you have any information on Stacie’s whereabouts, call the police on 01843 231055. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a black top and a beige cardigan.
