Motorcycle passenger fighting for life after Sittingbourne crash

A motorcycle passenger suffered life-threatening injuries in a Sittingbourne crash.

The 20-year-old man, from Maidstone, was taken to Medway Maritime hospital with a serious head injury following the incident on London Road, at around 11.30am on Thursday.

The 20-year-old male driver, from Maidstone, was also admitted to the Gillinghan hospital with a head injury. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

It's understood the Yamaha motorcycle collided with a silver Peugeot 106 as it was pulling out of Adelaide Drive.

The road was closed for about four hours while the emergency services dealt with the incident and the serious collision investigation unit carried out an investigation.
