A Kent motorcyclist has died after he was in a crash with a car along the A303 in Wiltshire.

Alexander Galanis, 55, of Claygate Road in Maidstone, died at the scene in Winterbourne Stoke just before 2pm yesterday.

The woman driver of the Citroen Xsara Picasso was taken to hospital but wasn't seriously injured.

The road was closed for three-and-a-half hours while police investigated.
