The crash happened on the A20 at the junction with Seven Mile Lane

A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after his bike collided with a lorry in Kent.

The biker, a man in his 20s from the Maidstone area, was travelling along the A20 towards Borough Green when the crash happened.

A spokesman for Kent Police said the lorry had been turning from the A20 into Seven Mile Lane, near Wrotham Heath, at the time.

The victim was airlifted to Kings College Hospital, London, where his condition was last night described as serious but stable.

The lorry driver, a man in his 40s and also from the Maidstone area, was not injured.

An investigation has been launched by Kent Police. Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call the witness appeal line on 01622 798538.
