A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the new Ramsgate to Sandwich road.

The 30-year-old man, who is from the Margate area, fell from his bike on the A256 near the Ebbsfleet roundabout at around 10.30am.

His injuries are thought to be serious and he has been flown to Kings College Hospital, London, for treatment.

No other vehicles were involved.
