A motorcyclist has been killed after his bike hit a bus stop.

The accident happened at 1.25pm today (Saturday, March 27) outside the Cherry Tree pub on the Tonbridge Road, Maidstone.

Police closed the Tonbridge Road from the junction with Queens Road down to the junction with the A20 London Road at Rocky Hill.

Police investigating the crash would particularly like to contact the driver of a green or turquoise Ford Focus who it is believed may have witnessed the collision.
