A 46-year-old motorcyclist died after he was in collision with a car at the junction of Argyll Drive and Ramsgate Road in Broadstairs.

Frank Sharp, of Lyndhurst Road, Ramsgate, was taken to the Queen Mother hospital, Margate, where he was pronounced dead.

A pillion passenger, a 34-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a broken collarbone and ribs.

The accident, which happened at 7.20pm on Sunday, involved a red Ford Escort and a yellow Triumph motorbike. The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
