A motorcyclist has sustained serious injuries following a collision with a car in east Kent.

The accident happened on the busy on the A259 between New Romney and Dymchurch, in St Mary's Bay.

The accident, near to Marlie Farm Holiday Village, happened just after 2pm on Monday.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital and police closed Taylor’s Lane, Dymchurch Road, Jefferstone Lane and St Mary’s Road.

Local bus services were informed and all vehicles were turned around by patrols.
