A car fire on the M2 on Friday afternoon led to two pumps having to be called out from Strood Fire Station.

No-one was injured in the small fire from a Toyota Picnic at around 3pm.

The crews spent only 20 minutes on the scene and the the road was closed for as hort time.

The incident took place on the London-bound carriageway between junctions two and three near Blue Bell Hill.

No injuries were reported.
