Medway MP Jonathan Shaw MP will be shadowing staff at Medway Maritime Hospital today.

He will be spending his time touring various departments including hospital radio, the children's ward and new cancer wing.

Mr Shaw MP, said: “The visit will provide an excellent opportunity for me to see first hand the enormous contribution hospital staff make to the NHS in Medway.”

“It is right that on the 60th anniversary of the NHS to celebrate the hard work and skills of NHS staff.

"This includes the millions of volunteers which coupled with medical progress, has continually helped drive up standards and quality of care throughout the country.”
