Muller is recalling 14 types of yoghurt because they may contain small pieces of metal.
A production fault has forced the Food Standards Agency to issue the announcement on behalf of the company, who also produce Brooklea and Milbona yoghurts which are sold at Aldi and Lidl.
In a statement the company said: "As a precautionary measure Müller is recalling some batches of Müller Fruit Corner and Müllerlight, Müller Bliss Mascarpone and Müller Rice, due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal in the product.
"The decision follows the identification of a fault with a roller supporting belts used to transport fruit in its factory. The roller was misaligned potentially causing small pieces of metal to drop into the fruit.
"Müller has stressed that it has not detected any metal in samples from the affected batches.
"But the company has taken the precautionary measure of recalling certain products made during the period when this manufacturing fault developed."
Milbona products, which are part of Muller and sold at Aldi and Lidl, have also been affected.
In a statement, Aldi said: "Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.
"For further information please visit www.aldi.co.uk or contact customer.service@aldi.co.uk."
Lidl has advised customers not to eat the products and return them to a store for a full refund with or without a receipt.
The statement continued: "Lidl GB wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
"Any customers with queries or concerns can contact Customer Services on 0370 444 1234."
