A 21-year-old man accused of murdering another young man has made a made a brief appearance before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court.

Lee Bullen, of Heritage Drive, Gillingham, is alleged to have killed 23-year-old Drew Shepherd in Goudhurst Road, Twydall, Gillingham, on February 3.

Mr Shepherd, who lived in Goudhurst Road, was a former pupil at both Twydall infants and junior schools.

Mr Justice Calvert-Smith remanded Bullen in custody until April 24 when he is expected to enter a plea to the charge.
