Gillingham Football Club chairman Paul Scally has branded the people who abused him after Saturday's defeat as "scumbags".
He and manager Mark Stimson were booed when Gills lost 3-0 to Crewe. As he drove away from the ground a rock was thrown at his car. Mr Scally's three-year-old daughter was with him.
“Some of the abuse I got was disgusting from some scumbags. It’s not acceptable and nobody deserves it.” he said.
Meanwhile, Gills' fanzine editor Eddie Allcorn has warned that fans' patience is running thin. He criticised the attack on Mr Scally's car.
