NAVY veterans could be turfed out of their club to make room for travellers.

After 30 years based in Springhead Road, Northfleet, members of The Royal Naval Association may have to move out so that eight families can move in with their mobile homes.

At a Gravesham Borough Council cabinet council meeting last night members recommended offering the Springhead Road site to the travellers who have until October 1 to leave their current site in White Post Lane, Sole Street, near Meopham.
