Addington Street, Ramsgate’s popular historical street fair, will vanish if no new people step forward to join the organising committee.
The warning comes as the organisers prepare to hold their annual general meeting on Sunday January 11 at the Falstaff pub in Addington Street, from 8pm.
Treasurer Richard Edwards said: “We are actively seeking new members for the committee as most of the existing members will be stepping down owing to other commitments.
“If we are unable to recruit new members, 2008s fair will have been the last. This would be a great loss to the area as there has been a street fair in the town for the past 30 years. In the past few years we have been able to give money to local charities including the RNLI, the toy anniversary, Thanet Mind and Cats in Crisis.”
