Protesters today launched a second campaign against increased rail fares on Southeastern.

Members of the Climate Rush campaign group joined forces in Charing Cross at 8.30am at Charing Cross to greet the 8.12am from Sevenoaks.

Protesters were said to be 'welcoming' the train, due in to the London station at 8.45am.

It comes just days after a mass protest on Tuesday at St Pancras International, a day after regulated fares, which include season tickets, rose by an average of 6%.

That day of action involved a raft of groups, including the Campaign for Better Transport, TSSA Union and Bring Back British Rail, who began the day with a big banner and a brass marching band.
