SKODA Auto UK has added two models to its line-up. The award-winning Fabia sees the addition of a 1.2-litre engine in Classic trim, while the sporty Octavia vRS hatch is joined by an estate version.

The 1.2-litre Fabia, the new entry-level vehicle for the model, is priced at £6,995 on the road. The engine is fitted with counter-rotating balancing shafts and low chain-driven single overhead cam for enhanced drivetrain refinement and reliability.

Fuel consumption - 47.1 mpg on the combined cycle - and C02 emissions - 144 g/km - are low.

The 1.2-litre powered Fabia comes in Classic trim with high levels of standard equipment which includes anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger front passenger airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners, immobilised power steering, an RDS radio with four speakers, rake and reach adjustable steering wheel and a pollen air filter.

The Octavia vRS Estate adds even more to the Skoda range, priced at £15,800 on the road. It reaches 62 mph in 8.0 seconds and has a top speed of 143 mph.

It sits on 16-inch multispoke alloy wheels, with its ride height lowered by 19mm.
