PAUL WARREN: concern for his welfare is growing

DETECTIVES have released a fresh photograph of a missing man in the hope that somebody may have seen him.

Paul Louis Warren, aged 50, of Sussex Gardens, Westgate on Sea, vanished on Friday, August 19, after failing to turn up to work at Bunnies betting shop in Sturry Road, Canterbury.

Mr Warren called the betting shop at 1pm saying he would be in at 6pm but failed to arrive.

DS Claire Munday, of Thanet Police, said officers have not received any reports from the public of possible sightings of Mr Warren.

She stressed: “We and Mr Warren’s family are very concerned for his welfare as we are still uncertain as to what has happened to him.

“We have released another picture of Mr Warren which was taken in the last month in the hope that someone out there may recognise him and contact us.”

DS Munday said it was impossible at this stage to speculate about what may have happened to Mr Warren, however officers are continuing to make enquiries.

Following the initial report of Mr Warren’s disappearance, members of Kent Search and Rescue and the Kent Coastguard searched the area around where his car was found in Capel le Ferne, Folkestone, but there was no sign of him or any of his possessions.

Police currently have Mr Warren’s passport and say there has been no activity on his bank accounts.

Anyone who knows of Mr Warren’s whereabouts, or who sees him, is asked to contact Kent Police on (01843) 222 178.
