Babies, children and new mums will be transferred from the old Pembury Hospital to the new one from today after the new building's official opening.

The children's wards, special care baby unit and maternity will all open at the £230 million Pembury hospital, which has yet to be officially named.

Maidstone's services are expected to move over in September.
