Nicky Southall played a full 90 minutes for Dover on Saturday in their 2-1 friendly defeat to League 2 side Barnet.

The midfielder was released by the Gills at the end of the season and is currently looking for a new club. He spent a month on loan at Andy Hessenthaler’s side last season.

Meanwhile, Northampton have handed former Gillingham striker Gary Mulligan a one-year deal.

The Irishman was released by the Gills last season.
